Capturing the Right Audience

3rd Coast PR is a boutique agency located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago. The broad goal of the redesign was to reach the right audience by communicating 3rd Coast’s unique reputation as a pr agency that fully integrates with their clients’ brands to drive sales. The deliverable was a clean and modern website with clear navigation and visually engaging examples of client work.
Strategy
In order to reinforce 3rd Coast’s positioning as a PR agency that deeply understands their clients’ business, I opted for visual elements that felt personable and warm. I chose photography highlighting Chicago’s beautiful downtown to situate 3rd Coast as a Chicago-based PR agency. The top navigation was simplified to focus on 3rd Coast’s client work and highlight their proven track record of success.
Information Architecture & Design
My approach to the sitemap and design was to consolidate information where possible and make client work more prominent by using a mega menu in the main navigation as well as additional links within the homepage content, emphasized by striking photography. Giving each case study and industry specialty its own page and honing in on key search terms ensured 3rd Coast’s site would generate organic search results.



Results
3rd Coast’s redesign accentuates the agency’s experience and expertise with compelling visuals and photography driven layouts. The case studies utilize a clean, easy-to-read template that works for any content and highlights the results of their product launch campaigns. Simplified navigation and well-placed calls to action make browsing easy and enjoyable.
